Android P has a lot of features to offer, but not all of them have to do with AI or design. According to a recent report, Google will require manufacturers to roll out regular security updates for their smartphones. This was also announced by the head of Android Security, David Kleidermacher, who further revealed all the security changes coming to Android P.
Until now, Google has been rolling out security patches almost every month. However, it was reported that most OEMs have missed out on security updates or have only provided them for their flagship smartphones. The change brought in by Project Treble will help Google and manufacturers provide regular updates to end users on time.
Besides that, Google announced a lot of things at its I/O Developer Conference.
